Automating a key financial process for a US TPA

Specialized 401(k) software engineering, administration automation and recordkeeping solutions for America’s retirement industry.
Software Home builds software for one industry in depth: US defined contribution plans, and the TPAs, recordkeepers and fintechs that run them.
401(k) systems fail in specific ways. A deferral posted to the wrong money source. A census that silently drops a rehire. A test run on the wrong compensation definition. A balance that cannot be traced to a transaction. Our team includes people who spent years inside TPA administration and recordkeeping, so these risks shape the software from the first design session.
About Software HomeFrom payroll file to Form 5500, we build the systems that keep 401(k) plans accurate, compliant and on schedule.
Plan and sponsor records, annual administration projects, task queues and deadline tracking for the full plan year, with every step owned and dated.
Explore 401(k) Administration SoftwareParticipant ledgers by money source and fund, contribution posting, loans, distributions, valuation and reconciliation to payroll, trust and custodian records.
Explore Recordkeeping SystemsADP/ACP, 410(b) coverage, top-heavy, 402(g) and 415(c) testing that traces every result back to the census rows behind it.
Explore Compliance AutomationPayroll and census intake, contribution mapping by source, validation rules and exception queues before anything reaches the ledger.
Explore Retirement Plan ProcessingWorkflow, billing, proposal and reporting software designed around how independent TPA practices actually run.
Explore TPA Software EngineeringAPIs and file feeds between payroll providers, recordkeepers, custodians, administration systems and your own products.

Retirement software moves participant money and has to prove every number. Our engineering choices start from that.
Domain models built around plans, sources, participants and plan years. Modular services where they help, a well-structured monolith where it is simpler.
Documented JSON APIs for plan, participant and transaction data, with versioning, idempotent posting and clear error responses for partners.
Payroll exports, recordkeeper and custodian files, SFTP drops and partner APIs, mapped once and validated on every run.
Batch and event-driven pipelines for census, contributions and trades, with row-level validation, exception queues and replayable history.
Least-privilege access, encryption in transit and at rest, audit trails, synthetic or masked data in development, and a team that is background-checked, NDA-bound and security-trained.
Customer-hosted in your own AWS or Azure account, including US regions, or on-premise, with automated builds, tested releases and rollback plans.
KinetiPlan is Software Home’s own product: a dedicated, customer-hosted platform that brings plan administration, the participant ledger, payroll intake, compliance testing and billing into one system.
KinetiPlan is a working pilot build with synthetic demo data, offered through scoped pilots. Status labels follow the product’s own site.

The numbers below are Software Home’s own and are kept current by the company.
Software Home is led by its founder and CEO, Abdullah al Rashed, a Certified Scrum Product Owner with 18 years in the US retirement industry. He has personally run the company’s US 401(k) engagements, including the work for The Retirement Advantage and Expand Financial.
Delivered software for a US third-party administrator and a 401(k) revenue management firm whose clients include recordkeepers, TPAs and payroll processors. Built KinetiPlan from that experience.
Plans, timelines and weekly status meetings that clients describe in their own words, with test evidence for every calculation and support planned around plan-year peaks.
A clear path for software that handles participant money and compliance results.
Plan types, data flows, rules, constraints and what success looks like, agreed in writing.
Domain model, integration map, security model and hosting plan reviewed with your team.
Short iterations with working software, weekly calls and a shared backlog you can see.
Worked examples your compliance team signs off, regression suites and reconciliation checks.
Automated, repeatable releases into your environment, with parallel runs where money is involved.
Maintenance and seasonal cover for year-end testing, 5500 deadlines and annual limit changes.
Our team includes professionals with 18+ years in TPA administration, recordkeeping and compliance automation. You spend less time explaining true-ups, money sources or Form 5500, and more time shipping.
A dedicated team for a long roadmap, a fixed-scope project for a defined system, or a support retainer for live software. You choose the model; it can change as you grow.
We build for US plan rules, US deadlines and US client expectations: weekly status calls, a shared backlog, written updates and test evidence for every calculation.
Support planned around year-end testing and filing seasons. Expand Financial's CEO first worked with our CEO years before their current project, and came back.
Two client engagements described in the clients’ own words, the product we built, and small examples of the logic we put into 401(k) systems.

We went to Software Home with a large project that had a tight deadline and Rashed and his team put together a detailed plan and timeline, pulled their resources together, and delivered everything on time for us. Communication was great throughout the project and delivery, quickly rectifying any minor issues that came up. They are a great partner to work with.
Mark RuhlandDirector of IT and Security, The Retirement Advantage, Inc.Issues were clearly defined along with their required resolutions, result in an elegant and efficient solution that drastically reduced the manual effort required to complete a key financial process. Rashed and his team clearly demonstrate an excellent understanding of the third party administration industry.
Bill GableFinancial Systems Analyst, The Retirement Advantage, Inc.We are very happy with the quality of software delivery and support provided by Rashed & his team. I can honestly say that we have been pleasantly surprised by the worked product and 401k industry domain knowledge and team overall spirit and responsibility.
Vincent DellaroccaCFO, Expand Financial LLCSoftware Home is a software engineering company in Narayanganj, Bangladesh that specializes in US 401(k) and retirement technology. It builds plan administration, recordkeeping, compliance testing, contribution processing and integration software for US third-party administrators (TPAs), recordkeepers and retirement fintechs, and it develops KinetiPlan, a 401(k) administration and recordkeeping platform for independent TPAs. US clients include The Retirement Advantage, Inc. and Expand Financial LLC.
TPAs typically use a commercial administration package, an in-house team, or a specialist development partner. Software Home is a specialist partner: its team includes professionals with 18+ years of TPA administration experience, it has built a complex financial application for a US TPA, and it builds TPA workflow, testing, billing and data-intake software. See TPA software development.
A modern 401(k) administration platform keeps plan, sponsor and participant records in one place; validates payroll and census data on arrival; runs nondiscrimination and limit testing (ADP/ACP, 410(b) coverage, top-heavy, 402(g) and 415(c)); tracks annual projects and compliance deadlines; prepares Form 5500 data; manages fees and billing; and exposes APIs and audit trails. See 401(k) administration software.
401(k) recordkeeping software maintains participant accounts by money source and investment, posts contributions, loans and distributions, processes trades and valuations, and reconciles to payroll, the trust and the custodian. Firms use commercial recordkeeping platforms, custom-built ledgers, or integrated platforms such as KinetiPlan that combine administration with a pooled trust ledger. See 401(k) recordkeeping software.
Start with an inventory of data, interfaces and the reports people actually use; move one workflow at a time behind stable interfaces; migrate data with balance and transaction reconciliation; and run old and new systems in parallel until results match. See legacy system modernization and FIS Relius integration.
Alternatives include integrated administration and recordkeeping platforms, customer-hosted software that runs in the firm's own cloud account, custom software built around a firm's own process, and a hybrid that keeps a proven testing or recordkeeping core and automates the work around it. KinetiPlan is one customer-hosted option for independent TPAs; it is currently a pilot build.
