In short
Software Home builds custom retirement software for US firms: sponsor and participant portals, advisor tools, fee billing and revenue management, calculators, operations dashboards, fintech products and AI-assisted workflows with human review, usually working alongside an existing administration or recordkeeping core.
Beyond the core platform
Most retirement firms run on a core administration or recordkeeping system. The work that sets them apart often lives around it: how sponsors send data, how advisors see their book, how fees are proposed and billed, how participants are guided. Custom retirement software fills those gaps with tools built for your process.
What we build
| Software | Examples |
|---|---|
| Sponsor portals | Census and payroll upload, data requests, document exchange, plan status and deadlines |
| Participant portals | Balances by source, contribution changes, statements, loan modeling, beneficiary data |
| Advisor and consultant tools | Book-of-business dashboards, plan health views, proposal generation |
| Fee billing and revenue management | Asset-based, per-head and flat fees; invoicing; revenue sharing and reporting |
| Calculators | Contribution, match, loan, safe harbor cost, SECURE 2.0 credit estimators |
| Operations tools | Task boards, workload views, deadline alerts, internal dashboards |
| AI-assisted workflows | Document data extraction, exception summaries and draft communications, reviewed by staff |
| Retirement fintech products | MVPs and production platforms built on correct plan rules |
AI-assisted retirement administration
AI can make administration teams faster, for example by reading a sponsor’s email and drafting the census request, or summarizing why a payroll file failed. It should not decide eligibility, run statutory limits or change balances. We build AI features as read-only assistants with human review, keep deterministic rules in code, and log what the assistant saw and suggested. Experience with revenue management
We develop software for Expand Financial LLC that automates revenue management for recordkeepers, TPAs, payroll processors and other 401(k) and benefits firms. Its CFO wrote that they were “pleasantly surprised by the worked product and 401k industry domain knowledge”.
How to start
Bring one problem: a report that takes a day to assemble, a portal clients keep asking for, a fee calculation done in a spreadsheet. We scope it, propose a fixed-price first milestone, and build from there.
